Homework Help (Tarea) helps elementary school children succeed in their schoolwork. Eleven dedicated tutors meet with groups of children twice a week for a total of five hours. During this time the children are tutored in the basic subjects, receive education in values and religion and enjoy free play in a safe, secure environment. Over 270 children participate in this program.

Since the school day in Mexico is only four hours long the extra help that Homework Help provides is essential to the children.

All the tutors are women of the colonia. Each one is paid a just wage and receives scholarship assistance from the Center to continue with her own education.
